This student's use of the photograph is unacceptable. Lack of referencing suggests he took the photograph himself.

He tried again.

When copying or adapting

  • tables
  • figures
    • charts
    • graphs
    • illlustrations
    • maps
    • plans

you should

  • provide a caption
  • specify whether it is a table or a figure
  • number the table or figure
  • give a reference to the source.

If you have created the image yourself, then no reference is required. However, you will still need a caption for the figure or table.
