UTS GETS READY TO REPLACE TOWER LIFTS

Works on the Tower Core Upgrade will move on site in December, with the first phase of works being complete by May 2012. Installation of the lifts will begin in April / May 2012.

The start of 2012 marks the end of excavation works for the Broadway Building and the start of this phase for the Dr Chau Chak Wing Building, Thomas Street Building and Library Retrieval System.

CAMPUS MASTER PLAN GETS CLOSER TO SITE

This summer UTS has started a number of upgrades to improve teaching and learning spaces and public spaces at our Kuring-gai campus.

UTS Broadway Building: site excavation update

Excavation work on the new Broadway Building site will start slightly later than expected this year. UTS is expecting to appoint an excavation contractor by the end of February / early March with the noisier rock excavation expected to start late April / early May.

UTS Student Housing Tower tops out

The UTS Student Housing Tower has reached a major milestone - the completion of the tower's concrete structure. To celebrate this key construction phase, the UTS and Hutchinson project teams placed an evergreen tree at the top of the building, known as a 'topping out' ceremony.
