WORK STARTS ON NEW SHORT COURSES FACILITY

The completion of new clinical labs, classrooms and study areas on level 6 has signaled the beginning of work on level 7, Building 10 for the new UTS Short Courses facility.

TOWER CORE UPGRADE KICKS OFF IN NOVEMBER

The much anticipated Building 1 core upgrade is edging closer to reality with UTS poised to appoint a new lift supplier and a contractor for the services and toilet upgrade.

Program Management Office (PMO) has its first site office, located in Building 10, Level 2. The office, known as ‘PMO site office 1’ provides a base close to contractors and construction sites for various Master Plan projects.

ALUMNI GREEN WORKS: NEXT PHASE

Construction on the Great Hall and ramp into Building 1 will enter the final phase next month. Work starts before the end of the year on the western half of Alumni Green.

THE GREAT TRANSFORMATION

The Great Hall is being reinvented.Contractors are drilling, sawing and constructing into the next phase of the project, due to finish in November.

DIGGING DEEPER FOR BROADWAY BUILDING

Excavation on the Broadway Building site is on track to finish by the end of the year. Construction on the new building will start early 2012.

BUILDING 10: IMPROVEMENTS BEING MADE

Construction has started on part of level 6, Building 10 (Broadway side). Finding your way around can be challenging while new spaces are created for Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Health (FNMH).

UTS has identified a ‘Preferred Paths’ network to help improve the safety of staff, students and visitors on its City Campus.

BUILDING 6 PODIUM EXTENSION

The podium extentsion of DAB Building 6 will provide new teaching and learning spaces located underneath the new Student Housing Tower.

WORK STARTS IN BUILDING 10

Work is underway in Building 10 on levels 6 and 7. Financial Services Unit (FSU) will relocate to new offices on level 6 and Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Health will receive new teaching, learning and research labs.

The Haymarket precinct's Block A and B, Building 5, have been completely refurbished creating new flexible environments, informal learning spaces, group collaboration and social hubs.

New and improved cleaning and maintenance requests

Facilities Management Operations has changed the way we manage cleaning and maintenance requests. These are now processed through separate online forms.

Blackfriars Precinct Classes: Semester 1, 2010

Due to ongoing upgrades to teaching facilities in the Broadway Precinct, more classes will be held at the recently refurbished teaching spaces in the Blackfriars Precinct of the City Campus.
